Now comes the process of tracing his movements and associations. When the investigation is completed,I hope Israel will respond against all those responsible for the planning and execution.
chairwoman commented on 'Deflecting Blame'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d8341c581e53ef0167689b4a5d970b2012-07-19T12:59:36Z2012-07-22T06:57:24ZchairwomanDavid, here in London where, apart from a certain group of people and Guardianistas, the average Londoner has no gripe...
David, here in London where, apart from a certain group of people and Guardianistas, the average Londoner has no gripe with Jews or Israel, and generally considerably prefers them to that 'certain group' I mentioned earlier, Jewish Schools and Shuls have constant security and here they are not armed.

Unfortunately if you live in the USA or Israel, you judge the population of a country by the mewlings of its politicians or the prejudices of some of the media, and recent experience has shown me that is not the case.

Let's face it, if I judged America by the NYT my opinion would be somewhat skewed.
treppenwitz commented on 'Deflecting Blame'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d8341c581e53ef0176168fa656970c2012-07-19T09:32:45Z2012-07-19T09:36:18Ztreppenwitzhttp://www.treppenwitz.comchairwoman ... you'll forgive me if I don't view 'a Bulgarian couple living with' you to be a statistically significant...
chairwoman ... you'll forgive me if I don't view 'a Bulgarian couple living with' you to be a statistically significant sample. The very fact that the "schools and the shuls have armed guards outside 24/7" should be your first clue that there is a systemic and deeply entrenched problem there. I'm sure the Bulgarians are a wonderful people, but their government is indifferent (at best) about the safety of Jews/Israelis. The proof is the points I've mentioned above.
chairwoman commented on 'Deflecting Blame'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d8341c581e53ef0167689a8319970b2012-07-19T08:22:18Z2012-07-19T09:36:18ZchairwomanActually, David, this isn't quite correct.
I have a Bulgarian couple living with me. She looks after me, and he does other work. I know a lot of Bulgarians here, they are to a man both pro Israel and pro Jews. Although Bulgarian Orthodox my couple's child goes to an Israeli school in Bulgaria, speaks good Hebrew and hopes eventually to go to University in Israel.

But I've digressed. Within minutes of the incident Bulgarian TV was calling it a terrorist attack, and I had seen a translation of a Bulgarian newspaper calling it a terrorist attack. The Israeli schools and the shuls have armed guards outside 24/7 and though shocked and distressed, nobody appears surprised.
