On the road again
Posting may be spotty, but stand by for some pictures. I've been in transit since yesterday evening and just now arrived at my hotel.
Yes, that hotel. The one with the bathtub disguised as a swimming pool and monkeys playing on the balcony at night. Oh, and if you read all the way through that old post, you'll see I've broken a big promise to Zahava.
Stand by the Local Culture Report (I wanted to call it 'The View From Here', but two of my favorite bloggers each think they own that phrase. Who am I to tell them they're wrong?).

i'm sure it's hard to sleep in that big bed all alone, and the noises of chattering monkeys are a poor substitute for the sound of your kids' voices. oh, and that "pool" - that doesn't look safe at all - sharp, angular and slippery. you'll be so glad to be home!
btw, just so you know, on the few occasions that my dh has been out of town, I LOVE to be able to read in bed with the lights on and watch whatever I want on TV without flipping the channels during commercials. maybe there are some perks on zahava's side that she's not telling? (in any case, a nice gift upon your return can go a long way...)

Ah, but I haven't posted on The View from Here in a long time. I'll sell you the domain if you'd like. Who is the other blogger who uses "the view from here"? This is the first I am hearing of this...

Jethro ... Honestly... this trip came up so quickly and we still had family in from out of town... so no, I didn't really consider it. This time.

Debbie ... I'd be shocked if she bought it. But thanks for trying. :-)
harry ... One of my blogfathers; 'There's Pie in the Lunchroom' used to do a lot of traveling for his job. Whenever he checked into his hotel he would usually post a set of photos showing 'The View from Here'. It became a regular segment.
Ilana-Davita ... Another trip I have coming up in the not too distant future will have a short stop over in Paris. Care to come say hello at the airport? :-)
