A new addition to the family
The original idea for the puppy came when we learned that our aging family pet Jordan was diagnosed with cancer. We suspected that having a young dog around to mentor would give Jordan a new lease on life and would also give the kids a larger canvas on which to continue dabbing their seemingly limitless love.
Here is Jordan getting her first sniff of her new charge, Lulu:
Jordan seems smitten with her and has been sniffing and licking her affectionately.
But I have a hunch that Lulu will have an even more profound affect on another member of the household:
Shabbat Shalom.

Awwwwwwww that's like what we did -- except our older dog isn't sick (sorry to hear that yours is!).
Our puppy gives our sr. dog a run for his money, that's for sure.
Though the mentoring the puppy to behave doesn't seem to be working yet! lol

Oh, she is wonderfully adorably cute...what a Shabbat it will be, too! And it is very nice that Jordan approves of the sweet little lass. Is a mazel tov, appropriate? :-)

OK, OK, I give...Israeli politics, your mortality, the horrible situation in Sderot, Hebrew faux pas, Nefesh B'Nefesh, people who don't know what a library is...and somehow I can refrain from commenting...but Lulu and Yona together - well, that's just not playing fair!
I hope it was a wonderful shabbat for all of you - the first of many. And more pictures are in order. Best regards to Zahava.

I'm not a dog lover, but even I went goosey bumps at the photos. I hope she has a long life with you.

You have beautiful dogs. (Children are also cute.)
The photo of Yonah and Lulu, and the story about it, made me cry!
