I went to school in Boston and I knew the local dialect had rubbed off on me when I was showing a friend of mine some pictures I had taken in Colorado. The pics were of a cool rock formation. I said, "and these are the Gaden of the Gads".

I was so stunned. Icouldn't believe that came out of my mouth. Then in the same conversation, I said pisser.

But I'm from further east in Connecticut than you were. Then again, some people have said I have a slight "accent" from my deafness, so that might be affecting it. Also, I sometimes pick up accents. I was teaching a motorcycle class in Richmond, VA one time (deaf student there). By the end of the class, I was saying things like "Y'all are going to get on your bikes and..." then thinking "Y'all?? Where'd that come from?!" I have to be careful if I'm near someone who stutters, as I can actually pick that up as well. Guess it comes from years of speech therapy, repeating sentences over and over again.
