I'm watching the game... what about you?
As promised, here is a nifty little chat box so you can help make the whole World Series experience seem, well, a little less isolated (to put it mildly). I will be monitoring the chat (and jumping in, obviously) from right after they throw out the first drunk, um, I mean pitch,
C'mon, you're just aching to say something... you know you are.

I love those Tom Mix uniforms the Rockies wear. They can do that right, anyhow. But if you're going to teach baseball to the Arabs, it should be the Red Saawx variety.

Now it can be said: In 21st-Century World Series victories, it's Red Sox 2, Yankees 0. YEAH!!! Thanx, Sox, for giving this Met fan something to cheer about this dreary season. (Well, dreary for us, anyway.)

Sorry I missed all the fun. Can't believe I actually slept through a red sox game. Congrats, and have a good day.....

You don't have to worry about Atlanta too much in the next few years. They keep getting rid of their best players like Andrew Jones this year. Arrrgggh!!! They got rid of Andrew and kept Chipper!!!
I may just have to become a Yankee's fan!!!

Dick Stanley... Tom Mix? Boy did you just date yourself! :-) And I doubt baseball would ever catch on with the Arabs. Although it would probably appeal to their sense of patience, they would likely balk at the inherent fairness of the rules.
psachya... I just noticed during the series that the Red Sox batting coach is Dave Magadan, a guy who came up to the Majors to join the Mets just before the 86 World Series (although I think he was ineligible to play in the post season). Neat how everything is connected.
Baila... An easy thing to do around here. :-)
shira... If you're shopping for a new franchise to root for, why would you go over to the dark side? :-)

Dave Magadan - there's a name I haven't heard in years. He was a pretty good player, who always hit for a high average, but with very little power. He also had the misfortune of having to fill Keith Hernandez' shoes. Good to know he's still in the game.

Trep: I just like old movies. You can rent Tom Mix these days.
