I totally misinterpreted that until I read the comments on the linked site. (In case I'm not the only one. Which I probably am.)

I don't know how I feel about that. Can't we talk about two things concurrently?

Annie-
I think the message is to the UN Human Rights Commission, who have passed dozens of statements against Israel, and not a single one about Darfur.

I will be handing out prints of that image at the next anti-Israel demonstration.

I can't think of anything more likely to discredit the obsession with Israel on the part of those activists than that image. It says it all.

Umhhh! Maybe it’s because the Western powers have not found their way into Dafur using the UN peace keeping/resource management force, but are all over Israel’s definite borders trying to pick the bully… just a thought.

It's not that they keep talking about Israel, rather it's that they are not talking about Gaza...

Great post & great poster (pun intended)! Seriously, though, this is nothing new. Over the years, the one-note Israel-bashers have managed to ignore Mao's Glorious Revolution, Stalin's late excesses, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Robert Mugabe, Shoeless Ferdinand Marcos, the Taliban (before 9/11), Egypt's persecution of the Copts, China's persecution of the Tibetans, Saddam's persecution of just about everybody, etc., etc., etc. The only ones that could distract those dolts were the South Africans, and now they call Israel the last apartheid state. Let's face it, folks - it's a lost cause. Not that I don't agree with your premise.

Just yesterday at the university where I work a Darfur info session was crashed by two white guys in keffiyehs waving Palestinian flags. They literally began screaming about Gaza, and caused people to leave the room thinking the Darfur organizers had invited them.

This is brilliant..o yes the NYSlimes has a picture on the front page today of Israelis chasing the poor Pallys...lets all get out a smallest violin for the terrorists in training shall we!.well done!

GREAT visual - can I post that on my blog?

Tanya... Don't worry, you weren't the only one. See today's post. :-)

Annie... Same goes for you. See today's post. This doesn't mean you were incorrect in the way you interpreted the poster... it's just not what I meant when I posted it here.

Sarah... You and I were on the same page... but we were mostly alone. :-

Back of the Hill... I can see these as a very effective tool to counter the Bay area 'do-gooders' Make sure to drop the artist a line and let him know you appreciate his work.

Rami... If you and I can get info about Darfur... I have a hunch any of the governmental and non-governmental agencies that are criticizing Israel 24/7 could get their hands on any of the data they might need if they really wanted to.

JoeSettler... Interesting point, but you too should read my post today. :-

psachya... The South Africans are just so relieved to not be the whipping boy that they will gladly point the finger at anyone else.

Kayla... In fairness, I can't fault the Palestinians for hyping only their own agenda. But the Europeans and U.N. do-gooders should have a more global outlook towards problem solving.

Angel... I know what you mean. I've been watching the Reuters ticker for over a month now to see when the kassams would make the headlines. IT wasn't until Israel responded that suddenly the Lede was "Israel targets Hamas militants in Gaza". [shakes head]

Chantyshira... Of course. Just make sure to credit the artist and link to his site.

Do the South Africans actually call Israel an apartheid state? Wow! I was actually referring to the knee-jerk Israel-bashers in general calling Israel apartheid (that was the "they" in my statement). If the S'Africans are actually getting in on that act, it only makes my point more clearly.
