Those of you in Israel... call the number on the side of the truck to find out the location of the mobile blood donor unit nearest you. Those outside of Israel (or those who can't give blood), go here and find something else worthwhile to do. The comments on that post also contain additional worthwhile ideas.

Westbankpapa gave at a drive given by his hi-tech company. Those of you in Israel who work in a company like that should call the human resources person and ask if they will do the same.

A worthy way to spend your time, the outside of Israel list renders me short of many things but the Prayer and my Tzahal T-Shirt (drives my Arab neighbors Wild) are the least I can do ;-)

David, rest assure, it wasn't your face that made me queasy. Even my biggest crush could be lying there (Patrick Dempsey) and I would have thought the same thing...ok that not's true. Actually I would be thinking that I would want to be there next to him, holding his hand but I'll leave that thread for another time. : )

I'm actually very p***ed off with MDA and have been for the a while. After accumulating no less than 47 (yes 47) blood donations (I used to go every 4 months) especially being O Rh- (of course I'm negative) which is "universal donor" - after all that they won't take my blood any more. Why? Simple, till July 1980, and from October 1980 till May 1981 I was living in Britain. Now I'm almost a pariah and my blood won't be used. I reckon they're over-reacting totally and I'm annoyed. I won't even mention their policy regarding gays.

Also falling into the category of those who aren't able to donate blood,(online guidelines from the American Red Cross or press #5 on the MDA 1-800 voicemail menu for Hebrew) I've already made a monetary donation to MDA, which also accepts donations from Israelis.
