She can't be graduating high school...
... she was born, like, last week!
I can still remember bringing Ariella home from the hospital... the smell of her skin... the guilty feeling as though the hospital staff would stop us from taking her with us. Holding her head in my hand, her little body didn't reach all the way to the crook of my elbow.
How is it possible that she is graduating from high school this evening?!

What a little heart-squeeze that message was! I have only known her since she was a polite and confident young teen (pre-teen?), leading a greenhorn tourist around the park, while keep her little brothers amused and safe. What a special young woman she has become!

Mazal tov! And I totally get the guilty feeling. In fact, I kinda remember feeling a little upset that the folks at the hospital were gonna let us just walk right out the front doors with a helpless little baby.

They grow, our children, they grow older, they grow wiser, they take responsibility, first for themselves, and eventually for us.
They continue to bring joy to our lives.
In our hearts they are still our little children, perhaps seven years old, running full of smiles to greet mummy and daddy.
Mazal Tov to you all. May your lives continue to be filled with good health, happiness and success.

Mazal Tov on Ariella reaching another Life Milestone!
They grow up before you know it. The Mistress of Sarcasm - our baby! - turns thirty at the end of the month. How is that even possible?
May Ariella enjoy every minute of her newfound freedom from High-Schoolitude. Now, what's next?
