For the full experience http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/don_norman_on_design_and_emotion.html
Don Norman wrote _The Psychology of Everyday Things_. (Now published under the name _The Design of Everyday Things_. And, no, I don't have it wrong, thank you very much. I own a first edition with the original title.) Dr Norman's book got me to thinking about affordance in design and knowledge-in-the-world vs knowledge-in-the-head.
Good stuff. Great guy.

Huh. He taught my class in freshman engineering design. He was a fun teacher, too.

Go read the stories on Jake Cress's website (the guy who made the chair in the video). This guy should write a book.

Nice way to start my day. I now understand a little better why I keep getting hired to teach math. I'm not very good at it, but I make it fun.
