And no one went home hungry or sufferring from food poisoning.
treppenwitz commented on 'Snowy morning breakfast'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d8341c581e53ef00e5506eb13888342008-02-20T08:24:58Z2008-02-20T08:24:58Ztreppenwitzhttp://www.treppenwitz.comRac hel... Don't think we are having it any easier than you! :-)

Eli... I'll have to go find the recipe in the book. Stand by.

Maya... Sounds like you hooked a good one. :-)

Jack... Close.

Erica... It only occurred to me that pictures might have been nice as I was washing the dishes afterwards. Oh well... at least I can post the recipe... stand by.

Alan T. ... So you're saying a lack of snow is responsible for your unwillingness to spoil your beautiful bride? Nice! ;-)

Tzip... Pretty much every large supermarket carries at least one, and sometimes two, kinds of cheddar. But if you want a better selection, the cheese store in the middle of Mahane Yehuda has an incredible variety... including at least four kinds of cheddar ranging from mild to sharp.

Shimshonit... seconded.

Hillel... stand by.

Doctor Bean... I know that the whole 'snow day' thing may be hard for your LA types to fathom, but when we get snow here they actually close the roads... meaning the kids are home and so are most of the parents.

psachya... You know, my wife is a professional artist, but she still melts when the kids make her a home-made card or drawing. Give it a try... she'll appreciate the effort.

Val... Very funny.

Irina... Actually, I worked for most of the day from home... but it was fun being near the kids.
Irina commented on 'Snowy morning breakfast'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d8341c581e53ef00e5506d9a7388342008-02-19T22:17:32Z2008-02-19T22:17:32ZIrinahttp://sicat222.blogspot.comAww, that's really sweet (and sounds delicious!)
In my own case, I am a) married to a professional chef, and b) have been known to burn a pot of water, so my reluctance to invade my wife's kitchen sanctum is quite understandable. Laudable, even. Still...grrrr....
Doctor Bean commented on 'Snowy morning breakfast'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d8341c581e53ef00e5506d621b88342008-02-19T19:46:45Z2008-02-19T19:46:45ZDoctor BeanIs today a holiday I haven't heard of or something?
